Arjo Sustainability Framework 2030 is a bold and ambitious agenda based on acknowledged global initiatives.

  • Following standards and measurement in Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)

  • Agenda is in line with Paris Climate Agreement
  • Working proactively towards seven of the most business relevant UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Tangible targets in select focus areas

Besides Arjo’s contribution to a sustainable future in healthcare and our societal potential as a business, Arjo Sustainability Framework 2030 includes ambitious targets in three focus areas:

A sustainable offering throughout the value chain

• Climate impact – Arjo will reduce corporate CO2 emission by 50 percent by 2030, aligning to the Paris Climate Agreement.
• Circular economy – Arjo will increase competence and commitment to develop products and solutions based on circularity.

A responsible company

• Business ethics – Arjo has an ethical responsibility to employees, customers and business partners. We will continue striving for high business ethics on all levels, ensuring that compliance is part of our daily work.
• Supplier responsibility – Arjo’s preferred suppliers will be aligned and contribute to our sustainability goals, and follow Arjo’s supplier standards.

An attractive workplace

• Employees and society – Arjo will continue working actively to promote equality, diversity and inclusion, in a culture built on empowerment, performance and engaging leadership. We promote sustainability awareness and taking active social responsibility in the societies we operate in.
• Health and safety – Arjo will continue protecting the health and safety of our employees, visitors and contractors, with for example a “Zero Accident Vision” for our workplace.

Firm governance to ensure results

The Arjo Sustainability Framework 2030 is now an integral part of our daily decisions and activities. To safeguard a systematic approach and the desired priority level, we have implemented suitable governance procedures. Smart teams are responsible for leading the projects, meeting targets and carrying out follow-ups, and the project responsible will meet with our CEO regularly to review the programs. The Arjo Management Team will perform an extensive review three times per year, and this will be part of the Board of Directors agenda for strategic evaluations.
