Freeing up time to focus on what matters most: how Arjo supports better healthcare delivery

In today’s healthcare landscape, time is one of the most valuable and limited resources. As highlighted in a newly published McKinsey report, “Heartbeat of Health”, freeing up time for healthcare professionals is essential to addressing workforce shortages, improving care quality, and ensuring long-term healthcare delivery.

At Arjo, we recognize this challenge, and we’re committed to being part of the solution.

“Our mission is to support healthcare professionals by providing solutions that not only improve safety but also enhance efficiency,” says Sara Thomas, Director of Arjo Mobility Outcome Programs. “When we reduce the physical load and improve workflows for caregivers, we reduce the impact of caregivers leaving due to injury and harm and also free up time for them to focus on what matters the most, the clinical work and patient care.”

Arjo’s portfolio of solutions, from patient handling and mobility aids to pressure injury prevention and hygiene systems, is designed with safety and workflow optimization in mind. These tools and mobility outcome programs help reduce the risk of injury, streamline daily routines, and can minimize time spent on repetitive or physically demanding tasks.

“For example, using our patient handling solutions can significantly reduce the effort required for patient transfers, hence lowering the risk of musculoskeletal injuries among staff. Similarly, our hygiene solutions can help standardize and improve efficiencies in the care processes, ensuring consistency and freeing up valuable minutes in every shift,” says Sara Thomas.

As healthcare systems are facing significant challenges with a growing and aging population, the ability to do more with less without compromising care quality and working safety will be critical. Arjo supports this transformation by helping healthcare providers enhance patient and caregiver safety and increase resource efficiency, giving the caregiver ‘more time to care’.
