In this webinar, Dr. Joyce Black, a leading authority in wound care, will address these complexities head-on.

Dr. Joyce Black, PhD, RN, CWCN, FAAM

Florence Niedfelt Professor of Nursing - University of Nebraska Medical Center

Dr. Joyce Black is a Professor in the College of Nursing. She has taught undergraduate students fundamental concepts, medical surgical nursing and ICU nursing and graduate students Advanced Pathophysiology.Dr. Black has received awards from UNMC and the College for her teaching. She was also honored with the Joyce Black Excellence in Teaching Award from NPIAP, named in her honor. Her research areas of interest are in wound healing, specifically in pressure ulcers. Dr. Black's dissertation examined the patient and wound factors that contributed to healing or nonhealing of diabetics with pressure ulcers.Dr. Black has served as President of the National Pressure Injury Advisory Panel and cochairman of the NPIAP's task force to redefine pressure injury staging.
