For Panagiota Biba, it was the fact that the solutions really make a difference for people who need to be cared for, that drew her to Arjo. Today Panagiota works in Product Development, ensuring that the products meet all requirements, from both technical and user experience perspectives.

Being an engaged and purpose driven person, Panagiota Biba strongly believes in a society not only acknowledging the healthy and active people.

“We will all get old someday, and anybody can end up at the hospital, needing help. It is really important for me to contribute to a society that is good for everyone.”

Working in the product development team as a Verification Engineer, Panagiota’s role is to make sure that Arjo’s products fulfil every requirement, and pass the rigorous testing and evaluations.

“For me and my team, it is a matter of looking holistically at all the relevant parameters, both regulatory standards for medical devices and our own high quality requirements. Nothing can be overlooked, for the product to be able to deliver the desired functionality, safety and comfort – not only for patients and residents but also for caregivers.”

Another thing that Panagiota appreciates about working at Arjo, is the friendly and dedicated atmosphere.

“We are always open to share knowledge with each other, in the teams but also from the surrounding world. This creates a feeling that everything is possible and that there are plenty of opportunities to explore, which is exciting.”

She also value to be trusted to take ownership of her own role and work.

“I feel that I can really influence the processes and the outcome, which give a strong sense of meaningfulness to my work, and also a possibility to grow.”
