Difficulties with communicating and performing everyday tasks can take a toll on elderly people with dementia. Helping people with cognitive disorders relax through soothing music and tactile stimulation can have a beneficial effect on their wellbeing and quality of life.

The fully-automated Nordic Sensi® Chair* combines music, tactile stimulation and rocking motion to offer a unique multi-sensory experience and provide a sense of security and ”cocooning” effect.

Addressing individual needs in the care setting

Pre-set rocking programmes combine smooth, quiet motion and soothing music with tactile stimulation to promote physical and mental relaxation, or a refreshing and stimulating experience, depending on the needs of the resident. Each setting is also easily customisable with just the touch of a button.

A choice of optional accessories could add to the user experience. Residents may find that the overall pressure from the weighted blanket combined with the support of the U-shaped cushion and additional positioning accessories provide a sense of security and ”cocooning” effect.
