When residents lose the ability to stand up unassisted from a sitting position, their functional independence can go into decline. That’s why the two-position mobility assist handle can help support more mobile residents who may be worried about falling and need support when exiting their bed.
Residents can use the adjustable mobility assist handle to help them enter and exit the bed.The perpendicular position acts similar to a chair arm to help residents push themselves up and has been found to:
• Reduce reported muscle effort needed to stand
• Be more comfortable to use than a traditional parallel position
• In addition the wide height range enables the bed to be positioned at the right height to support each resident to exit the bed at a safe height for them
- Footboard with grab bar to support resident when moving around the bed space
- Two-position Mobility Assist Handle to help resident get in and out of bed
- In closed position the Mobility Assist Handle provides a good support for the resident to reposition in bed
