”A much needed moment of joy”

“Working as one team and taking individual ownership is a critical driving factor in empowering any sort of movement.”

For Abdullah Ebrahim – President, Africa and South Africa at Arjo – the ability and willingness to work as one team and take individual ownership is a critical driving factor in empowering any sort of movement. Accountability is essential to strengthening partners and elevating the standard of care.

We wanted to find a way to positively impact and empower the caregivers to stay inspired and motivated under these difficult circumstances

With a dedicated team, Empowering Movement comes in many shapes and forms. In South Africa for example, it was recently embodied by a sales representative, who raised the spirits of long-term care facility residents by bringing two beautiful horses to their doorstep during the ongoing pandemic. “It was a beautiful, emotional well-being initiative and I felt very proud of demonstrating the true spirit of Arjo”, says Abdullah. He continues, “Their families’ hearts were eased because the facility could send them pictures showing their parents or grandparents being happy even in the pandemic.”

To stay motivated everyone should benefit

The reward of teamwork and individual accountability is not always of monetary value. It can be securing opportunities to take on stretched assignments, career growth or expansion of experience. An opportunity to lead. To stay motivated everyone should benefit.
