A Safer and More Efficient Hygiene Care Flow in People Living with Dementia - A Person-Centred Approach

This webinar is the second in a series of conversations exploring the experiences for persons living with dementia across the continuum of care.

We will examine the challenges that may impact and influence hygiene care flow for both the care-recipient, the person living with dementia, and the care-partner, the formal or informal caregiver who assists in the facilitation of care. The term partner is used intentionally, for we must never forget that we are always partnering with the care-recipient, whoever that may be.

We will revisit cognitive and perceptual losses associated with dementia and the integration of the Two-Lens perspective that must always be considered when preparing and providing hygiene care.

Within this, the importance of a partnered, person-centered approach will highlight effective strategy selections to help create a safer and more efficient hygiene care flow for people living with dementia.
