Main purpose of the assessment

The primary purpose of the site visit is to conduct a comprehensive, organisation-wide evaluation focused on equipment, care staff, and the patient/resident population, in line with the agreed scope.

 

Key objectives of the site visit:

  • Review number and status of equipment by type
  • Collect data on equipment age, condition, and usage
  • Engage with caregivers to understand equipment utilisation and coverage/gaps vs. patient population
  • Ensure practices align with safety standards and support caregiver wellbeing

What outcome can you expect?

The Arjo Insight Assessment will provide valuable data to help you better understand current equipment utilisation, identify potential gaps, and highlight areas of caregiver and patient/resident risk within your facility.

Following the assessment, your team will receive:

  • A comprehensive on-site presentation summarising key findings
  • Clear, actionable recommendations aligned with clinical evidence and international guidelines
  • A full written report for reference and planning

What will happen on the assessment day?

All data collected will be treated with the strictest confidentiality. No patient or resident names will be recorded.

Visit details

  • Timeframe: Visits will take place between 9:30 am and 4:30PM, avoiding protected mealtimes
  • Duration per ward: Each visit will last approximately 45minutes
  • Team size: A maximum of two Arjo representatives will attend each visit
  • Identification & protocols: All Arjo staff will carry photographic identification and adhere to hospital infection control and safety procedures

Site preparation check list

Ensure your facility and staff are prepared for the assessment day. Don’t forget to;

  • Confirm the units/wards that you would like the assessment team to visit
  • Inform the Arjo team if this changes, at least one week prior to the assessment so we can ensure correct assessment set up and resourcing for the assessment
  • Confirm with Arjo the dates and times of the assessment within your facility
  • Inform the units/wards that Arjo will be visiting on the date/s and time/s as we have agreed and that the team will need access to speak with a member of the unit/ward care team during the assessment
  • Ensure that the Arjo assessment team are informed of any special access arrangements to wards/units in the facility an also any specific policies that should be followed, i.e. infection control
  • Ensure that the Arjo team are accompanied by a facility member of staff throughout the assessment

What will be included in the report?

Following the outcome presentation at your facility you will receive a full assessment report including;

  • Overview of equipment coverage across assessed units/ wards vs. patient population
  • Overview of equipment status
  • Through the detailed analysis of your patient/resident population and their functional mobility across assessed units/ wards
  • Indication of potential caregiver and patient/resident risks associated with gaps in equipment provision
  • Recommendations aligned to assisted transfers based on calculations using captured data from the facility, available clinical evidence and international guidelines
  • Recommendations to replacement and gap filling of equipment based on equipment status, utilisation and type to support capital equipment planning

Confirm your assessment team members

Please provide in the form below the details of up to ten team members from your facility who are involved in the insight assessment well in advance of the assessment day.  This is to allow us sharing information connected to the assessment with all involved team members and to facilitate communication through easilly identify the lead contact in each unit/ ward included in the assessment.
