Carroll Gillespie, RN, BSN, MS, CWOCN

Clinical Solutions Manager - Wound Care - Arjo US

Carroll Gillespie received her BSN from the Medical College of Virginia and has been a practicing RN for over 44 years. Her specialty areas of nursing include critical care, med-surg, wound care and nursing management. Carroll has always had a passion for teaching and obtained her Master of Science in Adult Education and Supervision from the University of Tennessee.For the past 25 years she has been a certified wound, ostomy and continence nurse after attending Emory University’s WOCN program. This certification has allowed her the opportunity to collaborate with nursing, physicians, patient and families to improve the patient’s quality of life in many aspects.In her current role she serves as a resource to Arjo’s dedicated team of clinical and sales professionals who strive to inform and educate clinicians on the management and prevention of pressure injuries. Carroll also has the privilege to work closely with customers in sharing her experiences and passion for the Arjo Solutions for PI prevention. She has been an active member of the NPIAP’s Corporate Advisory Council and the Support Surface Standardization Initiative (S3I) committee for 14 years.

John Compton, MSN, RN

Academy Director, North America - Arjo

John Compton is a registered nurse with a master's degree in nursing, specializing in critical care. His thesis focused on competency-based learning in complex environments, particularly on-boarding new graduates to the ICU. John has ten years of experience working in a large cardiothoracic ICU in Sydney and spent the last five years of his clinical career in nursing education. For the past seven years, John has served as the Academy Director at Arjo, where he shares his passion for providing clinical knowledge to healthcare workers to improve patient and resident outcomes.
