Safe Patient Handling and Mobility Program Coordinator - Highland Hospital

A Certified Safe Patient Handling Clinician, and the primary Physical Therapist in the Intensive Care Unit and the Co-Chair of the SPHM Task Force at URMC-Highland Hospital in New York, Rob Masterman has 15 years of experience in acute and rehabilitation settings. He has assisted with the development of SPHM education for the University of Rochester Medical Center and has published research on program development and implementation in the International Journal of SPHM.Rob has also been a guest lecturer on SPHM for the Wegman’s School of Nursing at St. John Fisher College. Rob sits on the ASPHP Board of Directors, is the Co-Chair of the Governance Committee, and is an active member of the Education Committee.
