Support an improved recovery process
We understand rehabilitation needs to be tailored to each patient, and achieving activity, weight bearing and mobility early in the patient’s ICU care pathway can prove challenging.
Whether your patient is temporarily confined to bed, needs to be acclimatized to standing or is ready for sitting or walking practice, our range of product solutions are designed to help achieve activity and mobility goals safely.
Patient Journey

In-bed Mobilisation
Where out of bed mobilisation is contraindicated or options are limited, there are methods for supporting rehabilitation and recovery for patients confined to bed through regular repositioning, progressive verticalisation and upright positioning.

Out of bed transfer
When lateral and seated transfers out of bed are required, a range of patient handling equipment options are available to help the caregiver.

Sitting
The Sara Combilizer enables patients to be placed into a variety of chair positioning options at the touch of a button to help facilitate care and rehabilitation activities. In a sitting position, patients can be raised to facilitate good eye contact and personal interaction, an important factor in patient wellbeing.

Passive standing
For those patients with a reduced Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), postural hypotension or ready to commence more active rehabilitation the standing position of the Sara Combilizer can be used.

Standing and raising
Once the patient is able to maintain their sitting balance with minimal support and move their legs against gravity, they are ready to start attempts at standing. Using a Standing and Raising Aid is one potential solution for those patients struggling to achieve a full standing position.

Walking
Once an established seating plan has been formulated, with patients sitting out on a daily basis preferably on multiple occasions, progression can be made to more active exercise, standing and ambulation.
