One of the main reasons Gustav Andersson joined Arjo was that he saw his grandfather suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, and wanted to help people like him. Now, Gustav devotes his days to making a difference for people facing mobility challenges.
In his role as Global Product Category Manager for Floor lifts at Arjo, Gustav Andersson works as a bridge between our customers and the company’s R&D.
“For me, it’s important to really understand the needs and challenges for our customers, both for patients and residents, and for caregivers. I can then confidently bring these insights back to our product development teams in order to develop the very best solutions.”
“In my daily tasks, I often think about my grandfather, who suffered from Alzheimer’s during the last years of his life. What would he have wanted? How would he have felt? This really helps me in my job, and also creates a passion for what I do. Every single day.”
This passion and belief are things that Gustav feels permeates the whole organisation, and something that he hasn’t found in previous jobs.
“At Arjo, everybody comes to work every day with a clear purpose – of wanting to make a difference for people that need to be cared for. This strong engagement is something we share and draw energy and motivation from. To really believe in what we offer, that it makes the world a better place, is very valuable to me. It gives me lots of good energy that I try to use to support the people I meet.”
For all employees at Arjo, Empowering Movement, is about creating optimal conditions for increased mobility in healthcare settings, benefitting both clinical and financial outcomes. It is also about empowering ourselves and each other, sharing good energy and moving forward together.
