“Being an Arjo employee comes with responsibility”

After almost nine years as foreman at Arjo’s manufacturing site in Poland, Jakub Przymus’ passion for his work is still fuelled by the interaction with his coworkers and Arjo’s dedication to empower movement for healthcare professionals and the people in their care.

“Working with people in a friendly atmosphere motivates me. In addition to the daily interaction with my production colleagues, I also act as a bridge to the HR department. When we hire new employees, I become the first line of support for helping them become familiar with their role and the Arjo culture,” Jakub says.

In a long-term perspective, Jakub also focuses on helping his team members to develop their skills and achieve their career goals.

“When a coworker comes to me with a problem, I always listen to what they have to say and try to give constructive advice. I also believe in showing appreciation for small successes. This strengthens the team spirit and has a positive impact on our motivation, productivity and job satisfaction,” he continues.

Being part of the production of human-centric solutions, designed to help caregivers deliver safe care for people with mobility challenges, has contributed to Jakub’s professional and personal development.

“Being an Arjo employee comes with responsibility. To realise the company’s vision to empower movement, we in the manufacturing team must focus on achieving the high product quality our customers expect. Working together towards such an important goal spurs us to improve our skills and stimulates creative thinking. Being confident in my role, feeling satisfied with the work I do, means a lot to me,” Jakub explains.

Asked to tell potential employees about Arjo’s qualities as an employer, Jakub concludes, “The company focuses on employee development, so if you are looking for opportunities to gain experience and develop new skills, this is definitely the right place.”
