Pratham – educating children in India
As Arjo's Commercial Foundation in India solidified, Joacim Lindoff, our CEO & President, initiated the support of Pratham. Pratham is an innovative learning organization created to improve the quality of education in India. As one of the largest non-governmental organizations in the country, Pratham focuses on high-quality, low-cost, and replicable interventions to address gaps in the education system. Established in 1995 to provide education to children in the slums of Mumbai, Pratham has grown both in scope and geographical coverage.

Förenade Care – Volunteering at a Swedish care facility
At our headquarters in Malmö, Sweden, emloyees have the opportunity to exchange one working day annually and transform it into a day of supporting care staff at Förenade Care – a Swedish care company with about 50 units across the country. Volunteering at a care facility allows our employees to experience and understand a day-in-the-life of caregivers and residents. This increases our understanding of the lives of individuals directly in need of Arjo's products and solutions, and allows us to contribute directly to our local community.

Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program at Arjo Canada
During 2019, the Arjo Canada team launched a VTO program, where eligible employees can spend one working day per year volunteering their time to an organization that is meaningful to them. To kick-off, the Canadian team held its first Arjo Gives Back Week with events designed to give back to the local community, including:
- Participation in an Alzheimer’s Mini-Walk in support of the Alzheimer’s Society. Employees also had the possibility to make monetary donations and write a pledge form to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s disease.
- Raising CAD 4 325 across the country for the Alzheimer’s Society through The Great Canadian Promise Tour.
