Bariatric VTE prevention

VTE prevention that’s comfortable, convenient, and clinically effective

Risks of VTE and obesity

Obesity and related medical issues are an increasing problem in many countries around the world.¹

Obesity is associated with a high risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE) – a leading cause of hospital morbidity and mortality for plus size patients.² Plus size patients are also at greater risk of sudden postoperative fatal pulmonary embolism (PE).³ Our Active Compression Systems (ACS) help you minimize the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in plus size patients. With garments specifically designed for plus size patients/residents, our ACS therapy is non-invasive and designed to optimize comfort for plus size patients/residents.
