Equipment and Clinical Assessments

What is an assessment?

All healthcare providers need to be able to show continuous improvement over time with enhanced quality, reduced costs and lowered clinical risk and in order to do so they must gather information accurately and impartially.

The Arjo Assessment Service offers a range of equipment assessments, clinical management information and analytical tools designed to give healthcare providers detailed, evidence based reports of the quality of care delivered, identifying gaps in equipment provision, any product issues and reviewing exposure to risk.

Equipment Assessments

• Bed Frames
• Trolleys and Stretchers
• Foam Mattresses/Other Non-Powered Therapy Surfaces
• Powered Therapy Surfaces and Cushions

These assessments provide a detailed analysis of existing assets to identify area where facilities can improve the provision and utilisation of equipment.

Clinical Assessments

• Pressure Ulcer Prevalence
• Quality Management of Pressure Ulcer Risk

These assessments provide detailed evaluations of population characteristics, clinical outcomes and concordance with clinical protocols.

The reports identify areas of best practice and those areas that would benefit from targeted interventions, enabling healthcare providers to manage their legal and patient/client safety obligations while monitoring costs. Increasingly customers want to compare the quality of care provided in their facility against certain benchmarks or to evaluate their own performance over time.
